About

Allison is a self-taught mixed artist who has been exploring and experimenting with art making for 10 years. She is a fifth-generation Californian, born in San Clemente, CA. She currently lives just south of San Francisco, CA with her husband, baby girl and five (yes five!) cats.

By day, Allison works as an Instructional Designer for Cañada College, so she makes art in the early mornings before her daughter wakes, during nap times, and late at night if she can find the energy.

About Allison’s Work

Allison’s work is born from a personal love of creating, experimenting with art and office supplies, and combining materials and colors to make new items. Allison’s art is a physical representation of the minutes and hours that Allison has spent processing, escaping, enjoying, relaxing and growing over the years.

In her work as an Instructional Designer, there is large focus on reducing cognitive overload and making information simple, organized, and easily digestible. Allison loves to do the opposite during her art work – overloading her brain with color combinations, textures and patterns. Allison’s work gives her feelings of sumptuousness, abundance, joy, and possibilities.
